Desdemona to Othello;
"I understand a fury in your words,
But not the words."
This is my favourite quote in Shakespeare's Othello because it portrays the power of emotion and how emotion speaks for itself. This is important in the play because this is what Iago uses to ensnare the characters around him; he toys with their emotions. This quote also highlights Desdemona's innocence and reveals Othello's increasing inability to control his emotions after being blindly manipulated by Iago.
