Relationship between Perfume and The Wild Duck

While reading the wild duck i reolized some similarities between the story line of Perfume and the story line of the wild duck. In both pieces of literature the main character has been propelled forward in socitey by another character. In the Wild Duck Hjalmar was given the oppurtunity to become a photographer and marry his wife through his best friends father, this changed his life, because he got a daughter adn also means of living and an income. Grenouille was taken in and "purified" to become a more decent citizen which helped him to reach his goal of creating the perfect perfume. Both of these works show the impact of other people's influence on a characters life and future.
